Client’s Testimonial:
“I really appreciate your support throughout the process. Thank you!”
On May 6th, 2021, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Graduate Research Assistant in the Field of Transportation Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Transportation Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Graduate Research Assistant
Country of Origin: Bangladesh
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: North Carolina
Approval Notice Date: May 6th, 2021
Processing Time: 11 months
Case Summary:
A graduate research assistant based in North Carolina, holding an M.S. in civil and environmental engineering hired the expert services of North America Immigration Law Group to help him in filing an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiverpetition on his behalf. Our client was sure that we would help him in every possible way to lead him closer to his green card. So, we evaluated his provided credentials that proved the value of his investigations to the United States, and we highlighted the same by adding the following relevant information in his NIW application:
- Firstly, we detailed his research on the development of optimization algorithms for traffic control systems and technology such as self-driving vehicles in order to enhance the efficiency and safety of urban street infrastructures. We concluded that his research is of great importance because it helps make available traffic control models more accurate, more capable of reflecting a wider variety of factors, and more applicable to real-life situations.
- Also, we noted the 3 peer-reviewed journal articles (2 of them first-authored), 2 technical reports (1 of them first-authored), and 3 conference articles (1 of them first-authored) published by him in no fewer than 2 highly ranked peer-reviewed journals, which accumulated 55 citations.
Moreover, he has been invited to conduct peer reviews for elite journals in the field, and he completed at least one peer review to date. Since only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in authoritative journals, proving his wonderful knowledge and expertise in the field. - He has further received funding support from the Energy Efficient Mobility Systems (EEMS) program of the Vehicles Technologies Office, which is part of the United States Department of Energy. Receiving funding grants from prestigious government institutions is an unusually strong record of success for a researcher in the field of transportation engineering. Thus, his education and training, his documented record of scholarly publication, the recognized influence of his research in the field, and his apparent future research plans demonstrate that he is well-positioned to advance his intended research here in the United States.
His fellow experts in the field also contributed more insight into the merit of his endeavor, and we included four recommendation letters in our EB-2 NIW petition packet to establish our client’s case. One of the recommenders demonstrated:
“[Client] has created a method of traffic control that is robust enough to withstand real-life application while also remaining elegant enough to be useful. He has made demonstrable contributions to traffic management, especially in the field of cyber-physical systems that incorporate data from CAVs and update in real-time. This is an increasingly important field of research that makes transportation in the United States safer, more energy-efficient, and more pleasant for commuters.”
Successfully, we were able to convince the USCIS that our client is an invaluable resource to the United States. His NIW petition got approved after a complete adjudication by the USCIS. Thus, we congratulate our client on reaching this milestone. Thank him for associating with us and allowing us to be a part of his success story.
