Case Summary:

An associate scientist from Egypt filed an I-140 National Interest Waiver (NIW) petition, and we were engaged to represent her. In order to support the development of targeted therapies for conditions involving aberrant immune responses, such as autoimmune diseases and allergies, the client’s work involved examining the signaling pathways involved in platelets and immune cells in response to stimulation. Her work is relevant to leveraging the body’s host defense mechanisms to combat antimicrobial resistance in infectious diseases and to mitigate the economic impact of autoimmune diseases and allergies on the United States economy.

• She has also been asked to perform peer reviews for a reputable publication in the biomedical sciences because of her knowledge and proficiency in the subject; to date, she has conducted 15 reviews. It is evident from this that others regard her as an authority in the field and a subject matter expert in areas linked to her proposed endeavor.
• Furthermore, her study has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the National Institutes of Health. Therefore, this funding support proves that her research is committed to responding to public health threats by increasing the breadth and depth of knowledge in areas concerning infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.
