Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group has a long-standing history of dealing with clients who need assistance in filing their NIW (National Interest Waiver) case at USCIS. Given that over the years we have collected over 25,000 victories, our team has become experts in aiding petitioners with the right case preparation strategy. This is exactly what came in handy when an Indian client with a Ph.D. in chemistry approached us seeking help with his NIW case. He was a postdoctoral research associate in the field with a proposed endeavor to continue his research on the development of novel enzymatic methods of introducing fluoroalkyl functionalities into pharmaceutically important drugs, drug metabolites, and bioactive natural products to improve their biological activity and efficiency.
Of the 5 recommendation letters that he obtained, one was dependent and 4 were independent, all of which corroborated the fact that his research work was of merit and was valuable to the U.S.A. Quoted below are some excerpts from these letters:
“Over the years, [client] has consistently demonstrated his outstanding abilities as a biochemist and enzymologist by achieving key breakthroughs and completing projects that are of intrinsic importance to the U.S. scientific and medical communities, as well as the general population. [Client’s] list of achievements cements his high position in this discipline, and his array of discoveries reveals him to be a clear asset to national interests.”
“These disturbing figures and disease burden demonstrate the enormous global necessity to promote continued research and development in neurodegenerative and bacterial diseases including cancer. [Client] is a recognized expert in research that is intrinsically valuable to such efforts, illustrating his renowned position and the need for his continued achievements in biomedical research in the United States.”
At the same time, his work has resulted in 4 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored). Moreover, these papers have been published in the top journals in his field. These works have also gone on to influence his peers. That is, his publications have been cited a total of 20 times according to Google Scholar. He is also active in the scientific community as a peer reviewer for highly acclaimed journals and has already conducted at least 3 reviews. His work has also in fact been supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This funding is reserved solely for research directed at advancing the national interest, testifying to the demonstrable significance of his work.
All of this information put together made a convincing case in his favor. We are delighted to have been a part of his NIW success story.
