Success Stories: Texas Service Center Adjudicates and Approves NIW Petition in 7.5 Months for Postdoctoral Fellow in Massachusetts in the Field of Plasmonics

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it.”

On March 7th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Field of Plasmonics (Approval Notice).

General Field: Plasmonics

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Fellow

Country of Origin: Tunisia

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Massachusetts

Approval Notice Date: March 7th, 2016

Processing Time: 7 months, 14 days

Case Summary:

Texas Service Center spent seven and a half months adjudicating this EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition before granting their approval. We have no doubt that our client’s solid credentials and North America Immigration Law Group’s meticulously prepared presentation paved the way for case approval.

Very soon after our client (a gifted postdoctoral fellow from Tunisia) returned the signed contract to us, we encouraged him to contact other experts in his field of plasmonics. We needed them to support our EB-2 NIW petition by contributing recommendation letters. Our client did not disappoint and returned with four strong testimonials, all of which signed off on the fact that our client’s work is of great value to the United States. One of these letters stated, “Therefore, I can confirm that [Client] is a leader within his chosen field and that the research community would be hard-pressed to find another chemist capable of matching his accomplishments.” Another recommender noted that “… [Client’s] demonstrated success in the area of advanced spectroscopy techniques for DNA analysis is extremely uncommon and marks him as one of those researchers who can be said to have had a major impact on his chosen field.”

Besides these recommendation letters, we also included solid evidence of our client’s high standing in the field. With the help of Google Scholar and other reliable references, we noted the 1061 citations that our client’s research on plasmonically enhanced spectroscopy of biomolecules and novel approaches for remotely stimulated drug delivery systems had gathered at the time of filing. We also noted the 13 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers to his name.

Favorable Outcome:

We are glad that our client is now one step closer to American permanent residency. Not long ago, he filed his I-485 application (final step in the green card process) using our D.I.Y. Packet. We join him as he awaits optimistic news from the USCIS. In the meantime, we would like to thank our client for selecting us to represent his NIW case, and we wish him the best with his research endeavors.
