With an M.D. and extensive experience working in the field of oncology, our client seemed to be a suitable candidate for EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). Immigrant Visa Processing:

Once their I-140 petitions are approved, green card applicants have two options when completing the green card process: filing an I-485 application (if they are in the U.S) or undergoing immigrant visa processing (if they are outside the country). Because our client resides in Canada, he must undergo immigrant visa processing. Amongst other things, this involves paying the fees, submitting the relevant documents, and attending an interview at the proper American consulate or embassy. Assuming everything goes according to plan, our client and his dependents will each receive an immigrant visa which will allow them to enter the U.S. as permanent residents.
