Client’s Testimonial:
“Thanks. I would like to take this chance to thank you guys for your great service and all your attempts throughout the green card application process.”
On March 22nd, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Field of Mechanical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Mechanical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Researcher
Country of Origin: Iran
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Pennsylvania
Approval Notice Date: March 22nd, 2016
Processing Time: 11 months, 26 days
Case Summary:
A gifted postdoctoral researcher from Iran hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him obtain green cards for himself and his spouse. After carefully evaluating his credentials, we confirmed that the best way to do this would be via EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). There are two steps involved in the complex green card process: I-140 petition and I-485 application. Because our client chose to file I-485 applications for himself and his wife while his I-140 petition was still pending approval, he received both approval notices less than a month apart. This officially makes them American permanent residents.
When it came to our client’s EB-2 NIW petition packet, we worked diligently to ensure that every piece of relevant information was incorporated into the presentation. We noted his 7 published papers and the 128 citations collected from his work. We also documented his doctoral degree and established that his advanced educational background has armed him with the skillsets and knowledge needed to conduct outstanding research in his field of mechanical engineering. Furthermore, we demonstrated that not many other researchers with our client’s qualifications can mirror his research success on the optimization of the solar power plant as it relates to their ability to store and release latent energy for electricity generation at times of no solar radiation. We used recommendation letters contributed by four other influential mechanical engineers to support our argument. One of them wrote, “[Client] is an important researcher in the field of renewable energy, and his work will bring us closer to a cleaner, safer, and more environmentally-friendly nation.” Another expert stated that “[Client’s] accomplishments, combined with his proven facility at energy research, underscore the necessity that he be allowed to remain in the United States, where his one-of-a-kind skills can be put to best use, and where we can benefit most from them.”
Green Card Success:
It took Texas Service Center nearly one year to adjudicate our client’s EB-2 NIW petition. We are glad that they ultimately granted their approval. We would like to congratulate our client and his spouse for obtaining their green cards, and we thank them for choosing our firm to guide them through the process. We wish them well as they embark on new beginnings in the United States.
