“Thank you for your message on the approval of the I-140.”

On February 23rd, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Engineer in the Field of Mechanical Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Mechanical Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Engineer

Country of Origin: Iran

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Texas

Approval Notice Date: February 23rd, 2016

Processing Time: 3 months, 5 days

Case Summary:

This case involved North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) helping a research engineer from Iran obtain a green card via EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). Texas Service Center spent a little over three months reviewing the case before granting their approval, and not long after, our client retained us to help him with the second and final step of the green card process: the I-485 application. Once the USCIS approves our client’s application, he will become an official American permanent resident.

Our Approach:

To successfully prove to the USCIS that our client’s credentials are legitimate, we had to compile a wealth of information on his many professional and educational achievements. We highlighted his 36 published journal papers, one book, and multiple conference presentations. We also used Google Scholar to list the 196 citations that his work had collected at the time of filing. Furthermore, we included data on our client’s doctoral degree and his transcripts (to prove to the USCIS that he is fully equipped with the technical and theoretical knowledge to carry out conclusive research.

We also chronicled our client’s research projects on materials processing technologies, and proved that his findings benefit various industries in the United States: aviation, transportation, automotive, and defense.

To bolster our EB-2 NIW petition, we encouraged our client to coax other experts in his field of mechanical engineering to furnish us with strong recommendation letters. Four experts agreed to help, and their letters supplied us with additional evidence that our client’s presence in the United States is essential, and that halting his work in the country would be detrimental to the nation. For instance, one of these letters stated, in part, that “Whether facilitating more efficient engineering practices or improving America’s national security, [Client] has made his mark on the mechanical engineering community. Not only has he furthered scientific research, but his work’s practicality has directly influenced the lives of average Americans across the country.”

Story of Success:

The approval of this EB-2 NIW case is yet another example of our law firm’s commitment to helping every client accomplish their goal of obtaining a green card. We would like to thank our client for placing his trust in us, and we join him in awaiting the results of his I-485 application.
