Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you very much and I am very glad to have retained your service.”
On March 7th, 2022, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for an Associate Orthodontist in the Field of Orthodontics (Approval Notice).
General Field: Orthodontics
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Associate Orthodontist
Country of Origin: India
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Pennsylvania
Approval Notice Date: March 7th, 2022
Processing Time: 5 months, 2 days
Case Summary:
An associate orthodontist from India approached us in May of 2021 seeking help with her NIW or National Interest Waiver petition. She held an M.D.S degree and wanted to continue leveraging advances in orthodontic imaging to reduce treatment duration and improve patient outcomes. It was thus evident that her work was of great importance because of its value to the treatment of malocclusion, a global medical problem resulting from the misalignment of teeth that often leads to severe complications and impairments to patient quality of life.
Since the NIW category primarily requires the applicants to prove their worth to the United States, our team quickly sprang into action and collected any relevant data they could find in this regard. This meant we got to say the following in her petition letter:
- We showed that her work in the area has resulted in 5 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 3 letters to the editor.
- That these publications have been cited a total of 60 times according to Google Scholar.
- We showed that she has been continuously invited to conduct peer reviews for national and international magazines of which she has already completed 20.
- We were able to show that her past research experience is just as relevant today for the country as it was earlier and thus her work is nationally important.
- Finally, we used letters of support issued in her favor by other experts to support the claims we had made about her work. Two of these are quoted below:
“[The client’s] research makes significant progress in this regard by developing a more systematic understanding of bodily structures impacted by genetics, as well as how these structures relate to class III malocclusions. In doing so, [the client] has provided the American dentistry community with the tools and data required to provide improved care and treatment to patients. As such, [client’s] continuing work acts as a considerable benefit to the United States.”
“[The client’s] improvements in aligner therapy help to treat malocclusions and offer advanced options for the large portion of the American population suffering from this condition. By providing a wider range of treatment options for this widespread phenomenon, [the client] has demonstrated her usefulness to the American dentistry community and the wider public health of the United States.”
Thus, the case approval did not come as a surprise to us. It was fortunate that we could also help her with her O1-A (Outstanding Professor and Researcher) visa approval. We are glad to have had her trust and support. We wish her the very best in all future endeavors.
