Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you very much for your help in getting the NIW approval! I appreciate your thorough support very much!”
On August 17th, 2023, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Scientist in the Field of Atmospheric Science (Approval Notice).
General Field: Atmospheric Science
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Scientist
Country of Origin: Germany
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Colorado
Approval Notice Date: August 17th, 2023
Processing Time: 6 days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
Acquiring a National Interest Waiver (NIW visa) permits an applicant to become a lawful permanent resident in the United States. The NIW enables the applicant to contribute his/ her work to the United States for the benefit of U.S. society. This is where our organization comes in, assisting applicants in submitting the finest petition letter possible in order to obtain NIW approval from the USCIS. So, when our esteemed client from Germany hired us to help her apply for the NIW, we agreed to take her case and made certain to include the following information in her NIW petition packet:
- We highlighted our client’s proposed endeavor, as an expert in the field of atmospheric science to develop novel atmospheric wave characterization approaches in order to improve the representation of atmospheric waves in global circulation models.
- Her research seems to be relevant in improving the forecasting capabilities of countries worldwide, increasing the safety of nations impacted by severe climate events such as flash flooding and other climate change-driven calamities.
- Also, her research advancing her suggested endeavor is of great importance because it increases the understanding of atmospheric waves, which are a phenomenon currently unresolved by state-of-the-art global circulation models, requiring new parameterizations to mimic their effect on global circulation.
- Furthermore, we noted that she has conducted at least 9 reviews to date, and her research has resulted in 18 peer-reviewed journal publications (5 of which were first-authored), which have been cited 385 times according to Google Scholar.
- Her study has also been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) due to its obvious national significance. This funding is primarily for research that enhances the national interest, such as research that increases scientific advancement, national health, prosperity, and welfare, and national security. Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft’s support of her research therefore serves as evidence that her atmospheric science investigations have major importance and widespread applications.
Her application was solid, and armed with four letters of recommendation obtained from other prominent specialists in the field further corroborated that she is well positioned to make further useful discoveries in the field of atmospheric science. Thus, her NIW case was approved by the USCIS adjudication committee in just 6 days, with no RFE issuance. North America Immigration Law Group is grateful to have been of assistance to her, and we wish her the best of luck.
