Case Summary:

The I-140 EB2-NIW or National Interest Waiver is a kind of nonimmigrant visa granted to foreign nationals whose work is beneficial for the United States. On approval, the NIW status helps a non-citizen to continue their work in any chosen area of endeavor without a labor certification or a permanent job offer. So the adjudication requires careful selection and the success of each case depends not just on the merits of the petitioner but also deft preparation of the case. This is where our firm comes in. • In his research on topics such as flat space holography and cosmological spherical collapse, he has bolstered the global effort to extend space exploration and development projects in order to expand the scientific understanding of space and open up highly profitable economic opportunities in space for the global market. His research in the field of theoretical physics has therefore positioned him as a globally essential researcher.
• His proposed endeavor also has broad implications for the United States, since the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space exploration budget is expected to continually increase until at least 2023 and his research has in fact been supported with funding from the United States Department of Energy (DOE).
• Academically too, his 7 years of research have resulted in 4 peer-reviewed journal articles which have been cited a total of 23 times according to Google Scholar, thereby demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field of theoretical physics.
• We also added detailed descriptions of 7 of his key projects as evidence of his contributions to and expertise in the field of theoretical physics. This further aided the trust his case had built for him.
• Finally, we added 6 letters of recommendation, 2 coming from dependent and the rest from independent sources. These letters were drafted by other experts who knew his work and understood its importance, underscoring them in their testimonials. Two of these letters said the following:

“[The client] has strengthened our knowledge of the fundamental laws of nature through his research in the field of theoretical physics by developing our understanding of how the universe evolves… As [the client’s] research in theoretical physics and cosmology is verifiable through NASA satellite missions, it furthermore provides significant motivation to increase funding for NASA, which is of major national interest and affirms the importance of his role as a researcher.”

“[The client’s] research is of great value to the United States, given the nation’s investment in space exploration. In 2021, Congress allocated around $23 billion to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This represents a 3 percent increase from the previous year. This large investment demonstrates the value of space exploration to the United States. [The client’s] expertise in theoretical physics is focused on the fundamentals of understanding nature, which is relevant for applications in space exploration. As such, [the client’s] work is of great value to the United States and its national interests related to space exploration.”

As such, his work was understandably significant for the United States and the world. This helped his case get the NIW approval quickly and that too without an RFE. We are glad to have been of aid to him in this process and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
