Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you so much for your professional service! We are overjoyed!”

On August 5th, 2021, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Field of Atmospheric Chemistry (Approval Notice).

General Field: Atmospheric Chemistry

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Associate

Country of Origin: Italy

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: New York

Approval Notice Date: August 5th, 2021

Processing Time: 19 months, 14 days

Case Summary:

An Italian Postdoctoral Associate, with a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry, approached NAILG (North America Immigration Law Group) to help him file an I-140 NIW petition on his behalf. In tandem with the precedent we have set in petitioning for thousands of clients, we did a thorough background check before initiating the attorney-client relationship. The evidence that we gathered shows that his research on evaluating climate engineering techniques using global climate models and data analysis in order to provide policy recommendations for minimizing the harmful effects of climate change holds significant value for U.S. infrastructure, society, and the economy. This led us to believe in our client’s proposed endeavor, to corroborate which for the USCIS, we included multiple things in our tailored petition packet.

We showed evidence of promise on his part by detailing how his research has resulted in 24 peer-reviewed journal articles (7 of them first-authored) and 1 first-authored book. Moreover, these papers had been published in the top journals of the field. We used Google Scholar Tool to find his citations which stand at a total of 440 times, thereby demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field of atmospheric chemistry. On the other hand, he has also completed at least 10 peer reviews to date. Since only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in authoritative journals like these, it was clear that he is seen as very knowledgeable.

Due to the clear national importance of his research, his projects have been supported with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF). His research has also been supported by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). This funding is reserved solely for research directed at advancing the national interest, including finding new and more effective ways to address the widespread effects of climate change. We thus established that his proposed research on evaluating climate engineering techniques using global climate models and data analysis in order to provide policy recommendations for minimizing the harmful effects of climate change was also nationally important.

We are delighted to learn that his EB-2 NIW petition and I-485 application have been approved with our untiring help. We wish him the very best and it would not come as a surprise to us to learn that his research has significantly advanced his chosen field. We know that he is capable of the aforesaid.
