Client’s Testimonial:
“I’d like to express my deepest gratitude toward your professional service and timely assistance of my application since the past year.”
On January 3rd, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Field of Rehabilitation Science (Approval Notice).
General Field: Rehabilitation Science
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Country of Origin: Taiwan
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Nebraska
Approval Notice Date: January 3rd, 2020
Processing Time: 10 months, 14 days
Case Summary:
Not long ago, a postdoctoral research fellow from Taiwan received the good news that the USCIS had approved his EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. With extensive experience working in the field of rehabilitation science, our client also holds a Ph.D. in the same field. Amongst other things, these qualifications ensured his eligibility for the national interest waiver.
In order to prove to the USCIS that our client deserved to get one step closer to his green card, we gathered a wealth of information on his diverse achievements in the field. From his citation count to publication record (51 and 12 respectively at the time of filing), we listed it all. We also noted the 10 times he assessed the work of his peers which demonstrated his position as a leading expert in his field. To strengthen his case, we incorporated 6 recommendation letters signed by other influential members of the research community. These experts strongly advocated for the approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition by signing off statements such as these:
- “It is thus abundantly clear that [client’s] work is of vital value to the fields of rehabilitation and human movement science, designating him as an irreplaceable part of this area of research. His novel work with the assimilation of VR technology into the healthcare industry is essential to an extremely large number of patients, and to an industry that was valued at $769.2 million in 2017.”
- “[Client’s] work is focused on applying VR technology as an assistive tool for patients who are undergoing rehabilitation, which supports significant advancements in the United States healthcare and medical sector.”
We took a step further and proved to the USCIS that our client’s findings on the application of virtual reality (VR) to human movement in order to rehabilitate dysfunction, strengthen motor skills, and prevent injury through improved ergonomics is of great importance because it directly improves the quality of life for people with mobility disabilities.
Despite waiting for 10 months and 14 days, our client finally secured NIW petition approval. The reason why it took longer than the expected 4-9 months is that the petition was issued a Request for Evidence (RFE). As part of our comprehensive services, we efficiently responded to the RFE and cleared all the doubts regarding our client’s credentials. The approval of this petition is yet another example of our firm’s excellent record of helping our clients secure I-140 approval. We thank our client for selecting us to represent his NIW case and we wish him a bright future ahead.
