Case Summary:

An Indian expert in chemistry had approached NAILG for his NIW (National Interest Waiver) case. With years of expertise behind our backs, we dug deep into his professional and academic career and collected relevant data to weave into his petition. This helped us tailor the application to suit the needs of the client. In turn, the petition turned out to be successful since the USCIS approved his case in less than 6 months.

Some of the factors that played in his favor are as follows:

• We gave detailed information about his proposed endeavor and said that he wanted to continue his research on the construction of an artificial photosynthesis platform for clean energy resources and to fine-tune morphological metal complex photosensitizer structures in the excited state. He wanted to minimize carbon emissions in the environment and advance photodynamic therapy and photochemotherapy applications to destroy cancer cells.
• We showed that among other applications, his research is also relevant to the improvement of OLED technology, cancer therapeutic techniques, and the implementation of clean energy. His research is thus of great importance because it impacts the development of better cancer therapeutic techniques and enhances energy efficiency, making it important to both the medical and energy sectors.
• On the other, his proposed endeavor also has broad implications for the United States. In particular, his research addresses the United States’ specific need for more effective renewable energy options. It was due to its clear national importance, that his research has been granted support from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the Welch Foundation.
• At the same time, his 10 years of tireless research have given him immense experience in the field due to which he has been invited 30 times to conduct reviews for the works of his peers.
• Not only this, but his research has also yielded 15 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored) which have been cited some 231 times already.
• Due to his expertise and record of success, he has come to be considered a leader in the field of chemistry. He has also served as a lead guest editor and as a review editor on the editorial board of multiple scientific journals. His authoritative roles for these peer-reviewed journals demonstrate his leadership in chemistry and his commitment to involvement in the process of scientific publication.
• Along with this, we also found that he had 4 letters of recommendation from experts who knew his work written in support of his NIW claim. A quote from these letters had the following to say:

“The United States’s network is just over one hundred trillion dollars, meaning that a transition to entirely renewable energy is the equivalent of three to four percent of the United States’s total net worth. [The client’s] work has already enabled the development of renewable energy technologies, like artificial photosynthesis systems, with environments and methods that drastically improve cost-efficiency. These advancements have been largely dependent on [the client’s] supramolecular host assembly research. I therefore strongly urge you to allow [the client] to continue his research to ensure that the United States has a successful and financially stable transition to renewable energy.”
