Case Summary:
A pharmaceutics researcher from China hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to put together and file an EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) petition on his behalf. As EB-1B is an employer-sponsored visa category, our client had to garner his employer’s full support before signing the retainer agreement. His employer—an American university—offered their full support and provided our firm with all the necessary paperwork needed to represent our client. To build a strong case, our legal team carefully reviewed his credentials and claimed the following criteria – original contributions of major significance in the field, authorship, and judge of the other’s work.
To demonstrate that he has fulfilled the first criteria, our team collected extensive documentary evidence to prove that he not only qualifies as an outstanding researcher, but also that he is recognized internationally for his accomplishments within the field. As an advanced degree professional in the field of pharmaceutics, our client focuses his research on crystal engineering and formulation. His work on understanding the availability and formulation of various therapeutic compounds has made substantial impact on the field of by improving treatments and patient adherence to treatments for a variety of conditions. In one of his notable projects, his proposed applications through characterizing and formulating new pharmaceuticals have improved the palatability of current medication. His findings enabled experts in the field to design and develop drugs that not only taste better, but are more resilient and long-lasting. This proves the pioneering nature and the significant impact his research had in this area.
In evidence of the beneficiary’s authorship, our client has published 26 peer-reviewed scientific articles. At the time of filing, these works have accumulated 159 citations in other peer-reviewed journals. This citation record assuredly demonstrates that he is among the top in the field. Our client has also conducted 50 reviews which proved his active participation as a judge of the work of others.
We also asked our client to reach out to other experts in the field of pharmaceutics who were familiar with his studies so that they could provide him with recommendation letters. Our client secured five letters, one of which stated: “The consistency with which [Client]’s research has appeared in journals of such high standing makes a powerful statement regarding the quality of his work and its value to other experts within the field.”
Due to the swift adjudication guaranteed by Premium Processing (PP) services, we received the approval notice just 8 days later. Now that our client’s I-140 petition is approved, he will file an I-485 application to secure a green card as he is based inside the US. We wish him the best with this final step and thank him for choosing us to represent his EB-1B case. It was a pleasure working with him and we wish him the very best as he continues to conduct effective research in the field of pharmaceutics.
