Client’s Testimonial:
“It is fantastic news! I can’t believe how quick it is! So happy to have you to deal with it. I definitely recommend your services. Many thank for all your help.”
On April 8th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Lecturer in the Field of Vascular Biology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Vascular Biology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Lecturer
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: N/A
Approval Notice Date: April 8th, 2016
Processing Time: 4 Days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
Just four days after we filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a well-known lecturer from China, the USCIS took action on her case and granted their approval. Such quick adjudication was thanks to Premium Processing (PP), a paid option offered by the USCIS that allows petitioners from certain visa categories to have action taken on their cases within 15 days as opposed to 4-9 months. Although it comes at a price ($1,225), there is no denying that PP is an excellent option for petitioners who are unable or unwilling to wait several months for the USCIS to take action on their case.
Building a Strong Case:
North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) was tasked with presenting a strong EB-1A petition on our client’s behalf. We did this by gathering as much information as we could on our client’s various accomplishments. From detailing her 24 scientific articles and 1 book chapter, to listing the 1180 citations gathered from her work, we incorporated it all. Furthermore, we included recommendation letters that strengthened our case. These letters attested to the value of our client’s work on the different ion channels and mechanisms behind vascular architecture in blood vessels and how angiogenesis contributes to disease progression and cancer development. They were signed by other influential experts working in the field of vascular biology and contained statements such as these:
- “[Client] is a researcher at the top of her field, and her contributions to the field of vascular science have been extensive.”
- “The recognition [Client] has received for her work is a reflection of its value and applicability to the field of vascular science. Her contributions have been many, distinguishing her as a leading researcher in the field.”
- “If her past record of achievement is any indication of her success, the field of vascular science anticipates many more valuable contributions from her in the future and it would be highly beneficial to the United States to allow [Client] to perform her research within its borders.”
Because we were able to prove to the USCIS that our client’s research is important to the United States, particularly its pharmaceutical and medical sectors, our client is now eligible for immigrant visa processing.
What is Immigrant Visa Processing?
Once an I-140 petition is approved, green cards applicants have two means to get a green card: if they are residing in the U.S., they have to file an I-485 application whereas if they are outside the U.S., they must undergo immigrant visa processing. As our client is based in the United Kingdom, she will proceed with the second option. After paying the application fees and submitting the relevant paperwork, she and her dependents will attend an interview at the proper American consulate or embassy. If everything goes well, they will receive immigrant visas which would allow them to enter the U.S. as permanent residents. Their green cards will then be mailed to their American address.
