Case Summary:
A petitioner from India hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help her and her spouse attain green cards. After evaluating her credentials, we confirmed that the best way to do so would be via EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability).
Our client’s extensive experience in the field of immunology has led to various scholarly and professional accomplishments. These include, but are not limited to: the 8 times she conducted peer reviews for high impact scientific journals, the 348 citations to her work, and her half a dozen published articles. We incorporated the aforementioned information into the EB-1A petition packet that we prepared for her, alongside detailed summaries of her research on signaling pathways in the immune system. Based on the wealth of information that we had gathered on our client, it was simple for us to demonstrate that her findings significantly impact the United States medical sector and improve the overall health of its citizens.
To bolster her EB-1A petition, we asked our client to obtain signed recommendation letters from other medical experts. We needed their support to prove to the USCIS that our client’s work progresses other important research being conducted in the field. Five specialists agreed to lend their support, and their recommendation letters further strengthened the EB-1A petition. One of our client’s recommenders had this to say about her work: “There is an immediate need for [Client’s] research all across the globe. I am referring to the challenge of preventing parasitic diseases like malaria and leishmaniosis, neither of which have accompanying vaccines. Without lifesaving vaccines, hundreds of thousands of people die every year […] Thankfully, [Client] has enriched the scientific literature pertaining to immune responses […] Her research is an important step closer to devising pharmacological targets for treating parasitic diseases.”
Concurrent Filing:
There are two steps in the green card process: the I-140 petition and the I-485 application. Our client chose to file both steps at the same time, and this is known as concurrent filing. Thanks to Premium Processing, she received her I-140 petition approval 8 days after we filed it on her behalf. Her I-485 application was granted less than two months later. We congratulate our client and her spouse for becoming American permanent residents, and we thank them for selecting our law firm to help them through the process.
