Case Summary:

Whenever a client wants to file for an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) through our firm, we make sure that our case preparation strategy is unshakable. In a way, this is required because USCIS has in very clear terms set the criteria for qualifying within this category. However, with thousands of case approvals, we are strategically situated to serve our clients in their case preparation and presentation. So, when a client from China whom we had already represented for his NIW (National Interest Waiver), wanted to retain us for his I-140 EB-1A, we asked him to send us an updated CV with details of his recent academic and professional records. We then used these details to show that his continuing work in stem cell biology. We thus included the following in his petition packet which we personalized and customized for this particular case.

• He has spent years investigating issues related to iPSCS and chronic diseases, and he is regarded as an authority in the field. The field has recognized him as an authority by inviting him to review and evaluate the work of his peers no fewer than 30 times. Among the journals that have sought out his expertise and insight are internationally acclaimed magazines in his field, which have an impact factor of 6.126 and 4.366, respectively.
• In addition to directly advancing drug discovery through his original research and peer review service, he has actively engaged his peers in the field of stem cell biology by authoring and co-authoring 6 peer-reviewed scientific articles that have been published in international journals.
• His work has attracted a wide audience and has been cited by researchers over the globe. His publications have been cited 169 times by researchers in at least 29 countries according to Google Scholar. These researchers hail from well-known international institutions such as the National Institute of Perinatología Isidro Espinosa de los Reyes (Mexico), the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), the University of Heidelberg (Germany), the University of Padova (Italy), etc.
• His efforts in this project were also supported by the National Institutes of Health, which selectively provides grants to innovative projects advancing public health in the United States. This funding thus indicates the importance of his research on this topic.

Two of the multiple advisory opinions we received from his recommenders said the following:

“[The client’s] novel drug discovery platform facilitates the development of more effective treatments. Such research is pivotal to improving the quality of health of patients in America suffering from liver disease.”

“His research in this area provides key insights on the mechanisms that regulate human embryonic development… This is a boon for liver disease treatment, which is a cause of great concern in the U.S. [The client’s] work provides a way to improve patient prognoses and alleviate the burden of human liver diseases on the national healthcare system.”
