Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) recently helped a postdoctoral research associate from India obtain an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. His Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and immense experience conducting scientific investigations ensured that he qualified for this visa category.
Proving that our client deserved to get closer to a green card:
We took on the challenge of proving to the USCIS that our client’s EB-1A petition deserved to be approved. Some of the information we included in his petition packet included data on his half a dozen published articles, the 30 times he conducted peer reviews, and the 135 times his findings were cited by other researchers in the field of organic chemistry. Not just that, we carefully reviewed his research projects on the development of new synthetic methodologies and the cutting-edge synthesis of novel drugs for medicinal chemistry and drug delivery. We demonstrated that our client’s work addresses some of the United States’ most pressing issues in treating some of the most lethal diseases and viruses, including cancer, SARS, and Ebola.
In a bid to bolster our client’s EB-1A petition, we urged him to contact other experts in the field and ask them to sign recommendation letters. Our client persuaded six of his peers to lend their support, and the recommendation letters they signed were incorporated into our client’s EB-1A petition dossier. They played an important role in proving to the USCIS that our client’s work is valued by members of the scientific community and that his efforts are extremely beneficial to the United States. This is what three of our client’s recommenders had to say about him and his work:
“As such, [Client’s] research has contributed substantial advancements to the field of organic chemistry and has improved the scientific community’s ability to perform organic reactions.
“Therefore, [Client’s] work on developing a cure is incredibly important not only to the United States, but to countries around the world.”
“[Client] is one of the most distinguished researchers engaged in organic chemistry and drug development today. Only a scant handful of fellow researchers in this field can boast similar records of success and acclaim, and as such [Client’s] work continues to be in high demand throughout the academic and medical spheres. These repeated successes in his past work provide a veritable guarantee that [Client] will continue to advance the field as a whole.”
We congratulate our client for attaining an EB-1A petition approval, and we thank him for selecting our law firm to represent his case. Furthermore, we wish him the best as he adjusts his status for permanent residence using our comprehensive I-485 D.I.Y. Packet.
