Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) recently helped a research scientist from India obtain an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. Largely due to Premium Processing (PP), the USCIS only spent one week reviewing our client’s petition before granting their approval.

What is PP?

PP is an add-on service offered by the USCIS. Petitioners who want PP have to submit an I-907 form and pay the $1,225 fee. This will allow them to enjoy rapid adjudication, meaning the USCIS will take action on their case within 15 days instead of the usual 4-9 months. Petitioners can choose PP when they submit their petition or at any time during the adjudication process.

Strong EB-1A Petition:

Our client’s extensive experience in the field of cancer biology has allowed him to amass a wealth of knowledge and skills needed to conduct outstanding research. This is proven by the 327 citations to his work, his 13 publications, and the two dozen times he carried out peer reviews for a variety of scientific journals. Furthermore, we documented his research efforts on improving the current standard of care in the treatment and prevention of cancer, and demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s investigations greatly benefit the U.S. medical sector and overall public health. To support our claims, we incorporated recommendation letters signed by other expert cancer biologists, one of whom described our client as “… an exceedingly talented cancer biologist.” He went on to state that “His work has consistently met the highest standards for our field over the course of many years, and he has enabled other researchers to make substantial progress in important arenas. He has also directly opened up avenues for the rational design of new therapies, and these avenues have already begun to be explored by others in their own research. His ability to consistently provide major insights has greatly impacted the field, and I have no doubt he will continue to do so in the future.”

We are pleased that we were presented with the opportunity to help this research scientist obtain an EB-1A petition approval. Not just that, we are currently helping him and his dependent with their I-485 applications. Once the USCIS approves their applications, they will become American permanent residents and our client will be able to continue his good work in the country uninterrupted.
