Case Summary:

This EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case involved a postdoctoral fellow immersed in the field of molecular pathology. Our client, who has years of experience conducting research on the molecular mechanisms of chronic inflammatory diseases, had suitable credentials to file his case under this visa category.

We did everything we could to gather as much information as possible on our client’s copious professional exploits. When we were ready to submit our comprehensive EB-1A petition to the USCIS, it contained details on our client’s 15 published papers, his 12 conference articles, the 18 times he conducted peer reviews, and the 137 citations gathered from his work.

In a bid to ensure that our EB-1A presentation was impenetrable, we urged our client to ask other professional molecular pathologists to lend their support. Our client’s EB-1A petition was reviewed and approved in 10 days. This was largely due to Premium Processing (PP), an option only available to specific EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 visa categories. By paying an additional $1,225 to the USCIS, our client enjoyed rapid adjudication (officers have to take action on PP cases within 15 days). We are pleased at the outcome and congratulate our client on obtaining an EB-1A approval. Now all he has to do is file an I-485 application and once that is approved, he will become an official American permanent resident.
