On February 8th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in the Field of Immunology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Immunology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Visiting Research Assistant Professor

Country of Origin: India

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Illinois

Approval Notice Date: February 8th, 2016

Processing Time: 1 month, 21 days (Premium Processing requested)

Case Summary:

In this EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case, a visiting research assistant professor from India engaged the services of North America Immigration Law Group to help him attain permanent residency. Roughly a month after we filed an I-140 (the first step in green card proceedings) on our client’s behalf, he decided to upgrade his case to Premium Processing (PP). Thanks to PP, he received an approval notice from the USCIS less than two weeks later. Our client is now only one step away from his goal of obtaining a green card.

As with all our clients, we took careful measures to understand and account for our client’s research projects on the molecular interactions that enable the production of crucial enzymes, the replication of microbes, and microbial infections that result in complex diseases. We established that his findings are invaluable to researchers in the United States who are studying the biological mechanisms that drive cancer pathogenesis and autoimmune deficiencies. In preparing the petition, we included information on our client’s 15 publications that had accumulated 339 citations, the 13 times he conducted peer reviews for high impact journals, and several recommendation letters contributed by experts in his field of immunology. One of these experts had this to say about one of our client’s research projects: “Industrial enzyme production is a multi-billion dollar market worldwide, and as such the development of new, efficient, and inexpensive enzymes for industrial use is both a practical and lucrative endeavor […] highly beneficial to the growth of American industry and to the global economy. In studying the structural and chemical components of bacterial enzymes and producing them from new sources, [Client] is leading the industrial enzyme market forward.”

We congratulate our client on his EB-1A petition approval and wish him all the best as he continues to progress his field of immunology.
