On August 24th, 2017, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Lead Technologist in the Field of Chemical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Chemical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Lead Technologist
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Texas
Approval Notice Date: August 24th, 2017
Processing Time: 7 Days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and extensive experience working in the same field, a lead technologist from China seemed like a suitable EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) candidate. Despite his stellar credentials, he needed the help of North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to build and file a strong petition on his behalf.
Putting together a solid case:
It took us several months to build a good case for our client. As part of our comprehensive services, we thoroughly reviewed his research summary to determine how his work benefits the United States. We concluded that his research addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding the chemical processes involved in oil and gas production. We also meticulously gathered as much information related to our client’s professional and academic achievements. For instance, we detailed the 167 citations gathered from his 9 publications as well as the over two dozen times he judged the work of his peers.
In a bid to present an airtight case to the USCIS, we urged our client to rally support from other experts working in the field of chemical engineering. We helped him narrow down a list of potential candidates, six of whom agreed to lend their support through recommendation letters. These letters advocated for the approval of our client’s EB1A petition and supported the significance of his work on chemical synthesis and evaluation of chemical compound models that mimic bacterial metabolism, oilfield chemical treatments, and computer simulations for oilfield productions. This is what one of our client’s recommenders said about his work: “Through all of these achievements, [Client] has established himself as a notable researcher in a fast-paced, competitive field. His work on the synthetic model complex of the bacterial nitric oxide reductase enzyme has afforded other researchers with crucial knowledge on pathogenic bacteria. [Client] certainly brings a specialized set of skills and depth and breadth of experience to the field of synthetic chemistry and chemical engineering.”
Taking the final step:
We congratulate our client for securing EB1A petition approval merely a week after it was filed. We also thank him for retaining our services to help him and his dependent with the I-485 applications. Once approved, they will become US permanent residents. In the meantime, we wish our client the best as he continues to advance the field of chemical engineering.
