On December 29th, 2022, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Field of Applied Physics (Approval Notice).
General Field: Applied Physics
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Researcher
Country of Origin: India
Country of Residence at the Time of Filing: Taiwan
Approval Notice Date: December 29th, 2022
Processing Time: 13 days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
Our team at NAILG has been working with I-140 immigration clients for a while to have recognized the inner workings of the adjudication process the USCIS follows. We have known the USCIS to change its standard for EB1-A, EB1-B, and EB2-NIW constantly. So our team’s database gives unprecedented insight into the most recent trends. This along with case preparation and specialized petition writing has won us over 32,000 cases over the years.
So, when a leading Indian postdoctoral researcher in applied physics came to us for his EB1-A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case, we used our expertise to win him the approval in just 13 days’ time. This was made possible by our team’s excellent work on personalizing his case with the following data:
- He is one of the few leading graphene and two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides experts in applied physics, and he has achieved a consistent and notable record of success and influence in these areas of study. He is especially well-known for his findings on the properties of antiferromagnetic transition metal oxide nanoparticles.
- The field has recognized his authority by inviting him to review and evaluate the work of his peers no fewer than 40 times. This objective evidence proves his active and actual participation as a judge of the work of other experts in the field.
- He is particularly well-known for his contributions to the analysis of antiferromagnetic transition metal oxide nanoparticles and the finite-size effect on their optical and magnetic properties.
- Additionally, his 47 peer-reviewed scientific articles on the improvement of photoluminescence emissions, non-volatile memory device architecture, and spin-glass behavior approaches have been cited 682 times by peers in 56 countries using his prior findings to make additional discoveries related to self-trapped charge-transfer excitations, nanostructures, and charge carrier-phonon coupling strength.
- In fact, he is one of the top 1% of most highly cited authors publishing on topics in applied physics over the past 10 years according to OpenAlex. It can therefore be objectively corroborated that he has made significant original contributions documented by his publications, as his achievements have been widely recognized and relied upon in the field of applied physics.
- We also introduced detailed descriptions of 5 of his key projects as evidence of his contributions to and expertise in the field of applied physics.
- Finally, 4 letters of support were added to bring the petition together of which two recommenders said the following:
“[The client] focused on the physicochemical characterization of transition metal oxides (TMOs). This is a critical area of study, as TMOs specifically are used in technological applications such as semiconductors, batteries, biomedical devices, gas sensors, and solar cells. [The client’s] work provides the foundation that enables all of these technologies to existing. Without [the client’s] research, the understanding needed to use nanoparticles in any application would not be as readily available.”
“[The client’s] successes in shedding light on the material characterization of nanoparticles improve their ability to be utilized for advanced technologies efficiently and effectively. As this work directly impacts the advancement and growth of vital US industries, it is clear that [the client’s] research provides immeasurable benefits to the interests of the US.”
As is evident, these statements made a huge impact on the adjudicating authorities and helped his quick approval. We are proud to have worked with him and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
