Case Summary:

A senior software engineer from China, holding a Ph.D. in computer science wanted us to construct an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on his behalf. After reviewing his credentials, we were sure to walk miles to lead him to the EB1A achievement. We counter-signed the attorney-client agreement and prepared our client’s case to be submitted to the USCIS.

We personalized his EB-1A petition packet, which contained the following details:

• We noted that he is one of the few leading mobile computing experts in computer science and has achieved a consistent and notable record of success and influence in this area of study, detailing his research work on the development and implementation of mobile and machine learning assistants. • Also, we recorded the 11 peer-reviewed scientific articles in conference proceedings and journals – a productive and exemplary record compared to that of his peers in the mutual field of research published by him in some of the most top-ranked journals in the field. He has consistently published in respected conferences and journals, noting that our client’s work is considered to be among the best in the field. We further mentioned that he not only conducted extensive original research but also conducted peer-reviews 61 times. Only established and accomplished experts are hired for these crucial peer review roles, hence, his background in this area provides further evidence of his surpassing value to the computer science field.
• Moreover, we showed the citation record of his publication i.e. (151 citations, at the time of filing). He completed and published the results of his research in the field, cited by researchers in at least 35 countries, demonstrating that these publications are greatly relied upon in the field of computer science.
• We added five recommendation letters in his EB1A petition packet in support of his petition further. The letters were acquired from internationally recognized experts in the field, and two of his recommenders stated:

“Indeed, he is known throughout the field and has become associated with innovative research on multiple topics within the field of computer science. [Client’s] work has been used by experts around the world to augment their own endeavors, and the nature of his work has proven him to be an irreplaceable member of the field whose unique skill set is an integral element to the development of multiple key next-generation technologies.”

“It is worthwhile to note that this research was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF is a highly influential government organization, and its support demonstrates the value [client’s] work has for issues that are important to the United States on the national scale.”

We successfully persuaded the USCIS that our client is a leading innovator in this area of the field in the U.S. After adjudicating his case for 7 months and 17 days, USCIS granted him his EB1A approval.
