Case Summary:

The Outstanding Researcher or EB1-B category is a subdivision of the much broader priority worker criteria set by the USCIS. Quite like the other subdivisions of the priority worker category, the plain language of the EB1-B demands proof of the petitioner’s talents and expertise beyond reasonable doubt. One must also make convincing arguments that the client intends to continue working in their area of expertise. So having found that our client from China was a scientist in polymer chemistry and his research addressed some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding the fundamental characteristics and behavior of important polymeric materials, we went forward and countersigned the retainer agreement.

Only top-level experts in their field are invited to perform this important review work, so this frequent review activity further demonstrates his important standing in the field.

On the other hand, we found that he had collected 4 letters of support from experts, 2 from those who knew him and his work personally, and 2 from those who knew him only via his research. This proved of immense value to the case as it was able to prove the continuing importance of his work in the United States. This can be seen in the two extracts quoted below:
