Case Summary:
Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) helped a research scientist from China attain an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. Texas Service Center (TSC) only spent 4 days reviewing our client’s case before granting their approval. The reason for the quick adjudication was thanks to Premium Processing (PP), an add-on service offered by the USCIS. Petitions filed under PP are processed within 15 days instead of the average 4-9 months.
When our client first contacted us, he wanted to be evaluated for both EB-1A and EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). After carefully evaluating his credentials, we determined that the most straightforward way for him to get one step closer to a green card was via EB-1A. Here are some of the details that we included in our client’s petition packet that convinced the USCIS to approve his EB-1A petition:
- We noted our client’s 14 scientific articles and 5 conference publications which have propelled power engineering research forward. This argument was supported by a prominent professor who furnished us with a recommendation letter that stated the significance of our client’s findings: “…Engineers are now able to produce meaningful results on issues like the optimization of reactive power reinforcement and the calculation of available transfer capability.”
- The 204 citations gathered from our client’s work were also listed, and this proved the relevance of his findings to other researchers working in the field of power engineering.
- To further fortify our argument that our client is a leader in the field, we documented the 28 times he conducted peer reviews for various scientific journals. As only experts in their respective fields are invited to assess the work of their peers, our client’s impressive peer review record bespoke the value of his work to other power engineers.
- The research summary that our client prepared and submitted to us served as a good source of information regarding his investigations on the dynamics and reliability of power grids. Based on what we reviewed, we determined that our client’s work is important to the U.S. in the sense that it lends a hand in managing the national power infrastructure. According to one of our client’s supporters: “… [Client] occupies a position at the head of his field and fulfills all the responsibilities that this entails. Because power systems engineering is a very specialized subcategory of electrical engineering, the technical skill and research finesse necessary to reach the top of the field are difficult to come by. Despite this, [Client] has exceeded all expectations and redefined the nature of excellence in this regard.”
Not long after our client’s EB-1A petition was approved, he decided to retain our I-485 services. We helped him compile and submit a complete I-485 application to the USCIS and together, we are currently awaiting a favorable outcome.
