Case Summary:

In this case, the client that we had the pleasure of working with was a Research Fellow from India in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology. His research is on a highly specialized area focusing on the dynamics and functions of RNA involved in physiology and diseases. Specifically, his research addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding the dynamics and functions of RNA involved physiology and diseases in order to develop new systems of diagnosis, treatment and prevention. His work had resulted in at least 6 peer-reviewed scientific articles and numerous presentations at national and international conferences. At the time that his case was filed, his publications had been cited at least 260 times by researchers around the world, serving as apparent and objective evidence of his major influence and impact on the field of endeavor, in addition to his sustained international acclaim. He had also conducted 5 manuscript reviews for at least 4 distinctive, internationally circulated journals as well as serving the editorial board member for 2 journals. His work has been cited in several books including in recent edition of a leading textbook in the cell and molecular biology field. His superior level of expertise was confirmed in the following quote from a recommender, “Much research in life sciences may be quite far removed from practical applications. However, given the significance of [Client’s] findings, it is not surprising to me that his work is being utilized for the development drugs as anti-bacterial and anti-cancer drugs.” It was our goal to prove that our client qualified for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability given that he sought to remain in the United States to continue work in the area of Cell and Molecular Biology, and that his continued research would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. With the proof and documentation that we provided, his case was approved in 8 months and 18 days.
