Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you! This is great news!”
On September 26th, 2023, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Technical Specialist Engineer in the Field of Mechanical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Mechanical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Technical Specialist Engineer
Country of Origin: Egypt
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Washington
Approval Notice Date: September 26th, 2023
Processing Time: 6 days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
The North America Immigration Law Group has a long history of securing approval for the petitions of their clients, with over 32,000 successful cases. Our firm was hired by an Egyptian technical specialist engineer with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering to help him file a National Interest Waiver (NIW) petition. Our background check found that he was working on designing, optimizing, and integrating energy-conversion systems, including diesel engines powered by renewable and alternative fuels, lithium-ion batteries, and hydrogen fuel cells, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from fossil fuel combustion. Based on this, we determined he had a good case to argue and drafted his petition with the following details:
- The value of our client’s work should be self-evident, as by optimizing these energy systems, power can be generated without as much impact on the environment. One way his research allows to achieve this is by developing a combustion model to design and optimize diesel engines to run on renewable fuels, such as hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). HVO is a non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, sustainable substitute for fossil-based diesel that creates up to 90% less carbon dioxide (CO2), reduces fuel consumption by 4.3%, and emits fewer harmful particulates, by developing this, our client is helping to foster the transition to green energy and reducing harmful air pollution from diesel combustion. This can also help the U.S. to reach its climate targets by reducing its output of harmful gasses that pollute the air.
- The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) (formerly TARDEC) has also given funding to him to pursue his research, indicating that this project has received the support and approval of an American governmental entity.
- Our client also has made contributions to the field of academia, with 2 peer-reviewed journal articles (both of them first-authored), 1 peer-reviewed conference paper (first-authored), and 1 preprint (first-authored), published in no less than 2 highly-ranked journals.
- His work has also been cited 18 times, showing that he has influenced his peers with his papers.
- Lastly, our client has also received letters of recommendation from 4 different experts, with one saying:
“[Client]’s outstanding scientific investigations have tremendous significance for the mechanical engineering research community. [Client]’s research has advanced fellow researchers’ understanding of key auto-ignition characteristics, thus facilitating the study and development of more efficient and sustainable diesel systems. Accordingly, he has solidified his position as a researcher of authority in this area of the field. As the involvement of [Client] in further scientific investigation is critical to the sustained improvement of diesel engines, I highly recommend the continued support of his research efforts in mechanical engineering.”
To conclude, with the help of our team and the USCIS’s premium processing service, we managed to get his petition’s approval in a matter of 6 days. We thank our client for having faith in our team and wish him success in his pursuits.
