Case Summary:

When a client from Nigeria wanted to file her National Interest Waiver petition with our help, our team first made sure that she was aware of the requirements and then proceeded to sign the retainer agreement with her. Once these formalities were over, we began collecting her documents and found the following information in them:

• As an expert in the field of biotechnologies, her proposed research is on deciphering genomic information as well as developing and applying advanced biotechnological research. She wanted to help progress medical research and health care by pinpointing early diagnostic genetic biomarkers or pathobionts that are significant factors in disease development. • Due to its clear national importance, her research has in fact been supported with funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institute of Health (NIH), and National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS).
• In the 4 years of her research, she has completed at least 10 reviews and her work has been published in 7 peer-reviewed journal articles (4 of them first-authored) which have been cited a total of 24 times according to Google Scholar.
• Not only this but her work’s value has also been identified by other experts in the field, 4 of whom sent letters recommending her work. One of them wrote:

“Due to her background in veterinary science and experience with molecular microbiology, reproductive biology, multi-omics, virology, metagenomics, and more, [the client] brings a truly unique perspective to the field. As a powerful voice, she provides critical, novel insights into the role of genetics, biology, and cellular and microbial changes in disease. Her continued research in America is sure to significantly advance preventative medicine and novel, personalized pharmaceutical and therapeutic interventions.”

So, when the filing was complete we waited patiently for the results. Our efforts were soon answered when we got the approval without an RFE in just 4 months and 4 days. We are very proud of this success and our firm wishes the client an amazing future ahead.
