Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you SO much for your hard work! I am SO happy that the Eb1a petition has been approved! Without your help I cannot get the approval so quickly…It is a very encouraging story. I think your work is very effective and efficient.”
On October 2nd, 2017, and August 5th, 2017, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) and EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Field of Epidemiology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Epidemiology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Associate
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Florida
Approval Notice Date: October 2nd, 2017 (EB1A) and August 5th, 2017 (NIW)
Processing Time: 1 month, 3 days (EB1A, Premium Processing Requested), 47 days (NIW)
Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) is extremely delighted to have helped an accomplished postdoctoral associate from China obtain two I-140 petition approvals: one EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) and the other, an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). Our client opted to file the NIW petition first and not long after it was approved, she filed the EB1A petition.
With a Ph.D. obtained from a leading US university, our client has achieved notable feats in her area of research which involves developing quality improvement measures, evaluating anemia management in patients with kidney diseases, and conducting drug utilization and safety studies in claims databases. A leading expert in the field of epidemiology wrote about the importance of our client’s research by stating the following in his recommendation letter:
“The field of epidemiology is absolutely essential for understanding the population health, and [Client]’s continued research is a key component for additional advances in our understanding of drug utilization and safety among vulnerable populations.”
This recommendation letter was submitted alongside several others, all of which supported the significance of our client’s research. As our client’s petitions were filed less than a year apart, the same set of letters were presented to the USCIS to support both cases.
Although the criteria to qualify for EB-1A and NIW differ, the main points of our client’s EB1A and NIW petitions were similar. These included:
- Citation and publication record: Our client’s research has yielded 28 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 12 peer-reviewed scientific abstracts, an outstanding achievement that proves that she is engaged in important work. This argument is further reinforced by the 145 citations her publications have received.
- Peer review experience: Our client has also conducted 25 peer reviews for top-notch journals in the field and is thus contributing to the scientific community by assisting her peers.
We congratulate our client for securing both NIW and EB1A approval, and we wish her the best as she takes the final step in the green card process (filing the I-485 application) with the help of our complimentary do-it-yourself packet.
