Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank very very much for working on my case. I greatly appreciate all your hard work, you have been very thorough all along.”
On December 2nd, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Senior Engineer in the Field of Electrical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Electrical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Senior Engineer
Country of Origin: Bangladesh
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: California
Approval Notice Date: December 2nd, 2016
Processing Time: 7 months, 20 days
Case Summary:
With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, there is no denying that our client (a senior engineer from Bangladesh) is capable of carrying out effective research in the same field. His work has led to various accomplishments, a couple of which include 16 publications to his name and 98 citations gathered from his findings.
So how did we convince the USCIS to approve our client’s EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition? When preparing his petition packet, we paid close attention to his work on the development of novel semiconductor/micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) devices and components for efficient power converters. We gathered a wealth of information that proved his findings are relevant to the improvement of portable electronics, biomedical devices, electric vehicles, and solar energy harvesting, his specific research efforts are contributing to the United States’ medical progress, energy independence, and environmental conservation.
We also urged our client to obtain outside support through means of recommendation letters. To our delight, five other experts in the field of electrical engineering stood by our client and advocated for the approval of his NIW petition. They contributed strong recommendation letters, one of which contained this statement: “Given his position at the vanguard of electrical engineering, [Client] is among the most relied-upon individuals in the design of energy-efficient, high-performing, and environmentally sound technologies, and his work therefore undoubtedly deserves the United States’ support.”
Overall, our client waited 7 months and 20 days for NSC to take action on his petition. We congratulate him for securing the national interest waiver, and we wish him the best as he waits for news regarding his I-485 application. Once the USCIS approves his application, he will obtain a green card and become an American permanent resident.
