Client’s Testimonial:
“It was a good opportunity to work with North America Immigration Law Group”
On September 12th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Senior Lecturer in the Field of Nanotechnology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Nanotechnology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Senior Lecturer
Country of Origin: Iran
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
Approval Notice Date: September 12th, 2016
Processing Time: 8 months, 20 days
Case Summary:
A senior lecturer from Iran hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on her behalf. Residing outside the US did not stop our client from securing an NIW approval and it is not stopping her from proceeding with the final step towards green card success. She now has to undergo Immigrant Visa Processing (IVP), whereby she will attend an interview at the American embassy/consulate in Malaysia (where she is currently residing). If everything goes according to plan, she will receive an immigrant visa which she will then use to enter the US as a permanent resident.
What did our client’s EB-2 NIW petition contain?
Our client’s petition contained a myriad of information on her work in the field of nanotechnology. For instance, we detailed the 63 peer-reviewed journal articles, 1 book, 3 book chapters, 2 conference articles, and numerous conference presentations to her name. We also listed the 374 times her work was cited by other researchers around the world. To further strengthen her petition, we included supporting evidence such as her peer review record (30 reviews conducted at the time of filing), her CV, a copy of her doctoral degree, and four recommendation letters. These letters played an important role in the approval of our client’s NIW petition—they were contributed by other top minds in the field and contained statements such as these:
- “In sum, [Client’s] work provides the cornerstone for current and ongoing scientific inquiry. Based on [Client’s] demonstrated value to American medicine and the nanotechnology industry, halting her work would be detrimental to research throughout the country.”
- “In conclusion, [Client’s] ongoing research will not only continue to strengthen scientific study, but will continue to progress the food and pharmaceutical industries for the betterment of our country.”
We also demonstrated the significance of our client’s work on synthesizing and characterizing both nano-magnetite slurry and titanium dioxide nanoparticles, as well as antimicrobial nanocomposites and nanomaterial-based electrochemical sensors. We proved to the USCIS that her research results have directly contributed to food manufacturing and preparation and water purification. Additionally, her nanomedical research efforts are contributing to the United States’ health care system, thereby improving the country’s public health.
The approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition is another win for our law firm as it demonstrates our dedication in helping our clients obtain I-140 approval. We congratulate our client and wish her the best with IVP.
