Case Summary:
A principal engineer from China working in the field of electrical engineering hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help her file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition. After thoroughly evaluating her credentials, we determined that she was a good candidate for this visa category and we proceeded to build a strong case for her.
Amongst other things, our client’s EB-1A petition dossier contained information on her research projects focused on developing efficient electrical machines including generators and motors for industrial applications, such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, kinetic energy storage system or anywhere energy conversion occurs. We determined that her findings enable the United States to maximize the output power from renewable and clean energy sources. According to an expert working in the field: “She has far surpassed any reasonable expectations for an engineer in this area, and she presents the United States with an invaluable opportunity to maintain its acclaimed prowess and leading position in electrical motor design. Without [Client’s] continued presence in the field, the research community of the United States will be at a considerable disadvantage, as [Client’s] innovations have led to tangible improvements in electrical motor design.” This statement was taken from the recommendation letter that he signed in support of our client’s EB-1A case. Five other experts also volunteered recommendation letters, all of which contained statements that strongly advocated for the approval of our client’s petition.
Besides presenting recommendation letters to the USCIS, we also noted our client’s many successes in the field. We detailed the 113 citations gathered from her 9 publications and the 45 times she conducted peer reviews for a variety of high impact scientific journals. We left nothing out and even included data on her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering .
The USCIS only spent one week adjudicating our client’s case before granting their approval. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and congratulate her on this milestone. Additionally, we wish her the best as she prepares to file an I-485 application to adjust her status for permanent residence.
