Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you very much!”
On April 28th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Field of Molecular Biology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Molecular Biology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Researcher
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Texas
Approval Notice Date: April 28th, 2016
Processing Time: 10 Days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
Thanks to Premium Processing (PP), a postdoctoral researcher from China received notification that her EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition had been approved just 10 days after it was filed. PP is an option offered by the USCIS to speed up adjudication. By paying $1,225 more, petitioners will have action taken on their cases within 15 days instead of waiting 4-9 months. This option is highly recommended for petitioners who are disinclined to wait several months for the USCIS. However it must be noted that not all petitioners can take advantage of this luxury—only cases filed under certain EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 visa categories can enjoy rapid adjudication. All other I-140 petitions have to undergo regular processing.
Putting together a strong EB-1A case:
We worked diligently to help our client obtain EB-1A petition approval. Her petition packet was partly comprised of the following: her peer review experience, citation count and publication record. At the time of filing, these figures stood at 8 reviews, 248 citations, and 8 scientific publications. We also detailed her investigations on the role of cell signaling pathways in development and disease. We established that her work improves American public health and contributes to the country’s medical sector as it improves our understanding of diseases that result from vascular dysfunction, including Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), stroke, and several others. To bolster our presentation, we included recommendation letters offered by five of our client’s peers. This is what one of them had to say in support of our client’s EB-1A petition: “Thus, given the international recognition [Client] has earned through her research accomplishments and her unique talents with genetic and molecular biological techniques, [Client] deserves to receive full support for her future research which would be best served through her continued presence within the United States. Since her work is integral to the advancement of research on a wide range of topics within molecular biology, supporting [Client’s] research would also be supporting the interests of the scientific community of the United States and will greatly serve the American people.”
Moving closer to a green card:
We congratulate our client for obtaining an invaluable EB-1A petition approval. She is now significantly closer to accomplishing her goal of getting a green card. All that stands in her way is the I-485 application, and once the USCIS approves it, she will garner permanent residence. We wish her the best with this step and thank her for choosing North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com).
