Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you for your help in preparing the documents for my application! I very much enjoyed your professionalism and steadfast commitment throughout the I-140 process.”
On April 25th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Field of Fluid Mechanics (Approval Notice).
General Field: Fluid Mechanics
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Fellow
Country of Origin: Singapore
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Georgia
Approval Notice Date: April 25th, 2016
Processing Time: 8 months, 26 days
Case Summary:
Nearly 9 months after we filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for our client (a gifted postdoctoral fellow who was born in Singapore), Texas Service Center approved his petition. We were tasked with proving that our client qualified for the national interest waiver and that only a handful of researchers with similar qualifications can produce such impactful research results. He are some relevant details that we included in his well-prepared EB-2 NIW petition dossier:
- Number of citations: When we filed the case, our client’s work had amassed 102 citations. This proved that his findings are important to other researchers who are also progressing the field of fluid mechanics.
- Publication record: Our client’s fieldwork has led to the publication of 6 scientific journals, 1 book chapter and multiple conference papers, all of which were well-received by the scientific community.
- Testimonials: We needed other influential fluid mechanics experts to confirm the significance of our client’s work to the United States and thus, we prompted him to contact his peers for recommendation letters (we helped him select whom to contact beforehand). Our client persuaded five experts to lend their support, all of whom signed letters that contained supportive statements such as this: “This pronounced pattern of productivity has created a concomitant requirement for [Client’s] uninterrupted participation in American scientific research. America’s armed forces, shipbuilding industry, biomedical sector, and fluid mechanics research community would all endure unwarranted harm through his departure.”
- Additional evidence: To further fortify our argument that our client is a leader in his field, we incorporated additional evidence that proved it. For instance, we included data on his B.E., M.E. and Ph.D as well as summaries of his research projects on novel flow measurement techniques and instrumentation for understanding marine ecology and climate change, as well as vortex rings and cavitation bubbles for solving complex engineering problems. We established that our client’s role in the field is critical to the advancement of the country’s conservation efforts, preservation of marine wildlife, and emerging biomedical industry.
Our client elected to file I-485 applications for himself and his spouse while his EB-2 NIW petition was pending approval. As the cherry on top of the cake, we recently received favorable news from the USCIS regarding their applications, and we congratulate them for obtaining their green cards.
