“Thank you so much. [It] was [an] honor working with you.”
On March 4th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer in the Field of Electrical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Electrical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Senior Power Electronics Engineer
Country of Origin: Iran
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Massachusetts
Approval Notice Date: March 4th, 2016
Processing Time: 2 months, 4 days
Case Summary:
Not long ago, we received an approval notice for an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case involving a respected senior power electronics engineer from Iran. North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) was initially contracted to help him file an NIW petition and after receiving news of his petition approval, he retained our services to help him file I-485 applications (final step towards a green card) for himself and his spouse. We are currently waiting for an optimistic outcome from Texas Service Center.
Impactful Research:
Our legal team was responsible for putting together a strong NIW presentation for the USCIS. This important petition dossier contained all the relevant information that highlighted our client’s copious professional successes in the field of electrical engineering. We paid special attention to his research on securing the cost-effective implementation of photovoltaic systems in residential and commercial settings and enhancing the reliability of multilevel converters in grid-connected photovoltaic applications. Upon reviewing his research projects, we demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s work impacts the United States’ efforts to improve energy independence and reduce reliance on fossil fuel consumption and foreign oil.
According to one of the six experts in the field whose letters we included in our petition dossier, our client’s input “… is absolutely critical as sustainable energy approaches the tipping point in popular usage, and the advances underway in ease of residential installation are a direct result of his work.” Another recommender wrote, “The resources available to [Client] in the United States also allow him to make technological advances that benefit electrical engineering endeavors around the world. Unfortunately, engineers of [Client’s] aptitude are rare. Since there is a scarcity of individuals who are qualified to conduct the kind of research to which [Client] has dedicated his career, the United States would be wise to allow him to continue his research within its borders.
Impressive Credentials:
These strong recommendation letters were accompanied by details of our client’s portfolio: the 58 citations to his work, his 12 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles, and numerous conference presentations. Leaving no stone unturned, we also incorporated details of our client’s Ph.D. in Power Electronics and included a copy of his degree and transcripts for good measure.
Story of Success:
This NIW petition approval serves as yet another success story for our firm, and highlights our dedication to helping every client accomplish their goal of attaining a green card. We are pleased that our client overcame this significant hurdle in the green card journey and hope that the next time we communicate, we will be welcoming him and his wife as official American permanent residents.
