Case Summary:

A gifted postdoctoral research associate from Nepal contracted North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on his behalf. Texas Service Center only needed 2 months and 28 days to review our comprehensive petition before granting their approval. We are confident that our meticulous efforts and our client’s strong credentials played important roles in the approval of this EB-2 NIW case.

Amongst other things, our services included putting together a strong NIW petition to convince the USCIS that our client’s work is essential to the United States and that his I-140 petition deserved to be approved. Here are some of the things we included:

1. Proof of Advanced Degrees

To demonstrate that our client possesses the skills to carry out compelling research in the field of materials science, we submitted proof that he is academically qualified. We noted his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Physics, and included copies of his degrees and transcripts.

2. Research Efforts

We also had to showcase the fact that our client is capable of conducting actual research. We carefully detailed his various research projects on non-conventional nanostructured photovoltaic devices, transparent, flexible thin film transistors (TFTs), and two dimensional materials for electronics device applications, and discussed the many enhancements he has made to the composition and performance of techniques, materials and devices used in the field.

3. Citation Count, Peer Review Experience, and Publication Record

Our client’s extensive experience has led to 12 journal articles, 1 first-authored textbook chapter, 9 first-authored articles in conference proceedings, and numerous conference presentations. Furthermore, when we filed our EB-2 NIW case, our client’s work had gathered 126 citations and he had conducted more than two dozen peer reviews for various well-known scientific journals.

4. Recommendation Letters

An important aspect of our NIW petition was the inclusion of recommendation letters provided by other influential researchers in the field. These letters served as third-party support and persuaded the USCIS that our client’s investigations are valued by not just him, but many others in the field. One of these letters stated that “Were the nation to be deprived of his [Client’s] contributions to materials science research for any reason, each of these industries [automotive, aerospace, and energy storage] would undoubtedly experience costly delays in terms of enhanced energy efficiency and technological performance.”

We are glad that our hard work led to the approval of this case. We would like to congratulate our client on getting one step closer to his green card, and we wish him well as he continues to progress the field of materials science.
