General Field: Cancer Biology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Fellow
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Texas
Approval Notice Date: February 26th, 2016
Processing Time: 10 days (Premium Processing requested)
Case Summary:
A postdoctoral fellow from China selected North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on his behalf. Largely due to Premium Processing, we received an approval notice just 10 days after we filed the case. We also believe that our client’s strong credentials and our meticulous presentation of the case led to its approval.
The EB-1A visa category features heightened standards of law, therefore, we needed strong evidence to prove that our client’s credentials met the requirements set in place by the USCIS. Amongst other things, our comprehensive petition packet contained the following:
- Publication and Citation Record
Our client’s 12 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 1 book chapter, and at least 6 conference presentations had amassed 1315 citations when we filed the case. These records illustrated the importance of his insights to other scientists in the field of cancer biology.
- Peer Review Experience
To further showcase the value of our client’s professional opinions to other cancer biologists, we documented the dozen times he conducted peer reviews for six scientific journals. These prestigious, high impact journals only engage the services of respected researchers, and our client’s review experience indicates his high standing in the field.
- Recommendation Letters
Third party opinions play an important role in the success of a case. We convinced our client to reach out to several experts in his field and request for recommendation letters. The four letters that we received served as additional evidence that our client’s EB-1A case deserved to be approved. One of his recommenders wrote, “The field of molecular cell biology would be negatively impacted by the loss of [Client’s] future contributions, as would progress in developing new treatments and preventative measures for cancer. Thus, it is vital to the health of [Client’s] field and to the United States that he would be able to continue his research career.”
- Details on Research Projects
We carefully described our client’s various research projects that explore pressing issues related to the molecular mechanisms and biological processes at the basis of PCa. We used what we learned to demonstrate to the USCIS that our client’s work benefits the United States medical sector and that his findings are essential to the overall health and well-being of Americans.
We are pleased with the favorable outcome of this EB-1A case. Our client recently retained our services to help him with the second and final portion of the green card process: the I-485 application. North America Immigration Law Group thanks our client and his spouse for selecting us to represent their case.
