Victoria Chen, J.D., Attorney at Law
Victoria Chen, J.D. is a top law school educated U.S. attorney who is licensed to practice immigration law in all states and territories of the United States. Ms. Chen obtained her Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the University of Minnesota Law School by attending her last year of law school at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Before pursuing her law degree, Ms. Chen had been committed to legal reform. For years, she worked as a legal assistant of pro bono human rights attorneys, fighting for people whose rights had been sacrificed for the convenience or injustice of the judicial system. She successfully contributed to the overturning of several dead sentence cases. The experience had shaped Ms. Chen's life direction, and made her discover her passion for effecting positive changes in the lives of others.
Since Ms. Chen's legal studies at Michigan Law, she has devoted to the research and study of arguments, structures and formats of petitions for National Interest Waiver, EB1-A and other employment-based immigration classifications. Her dedications to the study of approval and denial cases, AAO (Administrative Appeal Office) decisions, judicial review opinions, and internal memoranda of USCIS finally leads to an unified structure and criteria system, NIW Credential Test™ and EB1 Credential Test™. These carefully-designed tests have significantly helped evaluate specific cases regarding their strengths and weaknesses under certain immigration classification. This systematic approach is extremely efficacious and leads our clients to the right direction for credential improvements in case their current qualifications do not pass the initial test.
Ms. Chen actively joins the meeting regarding the latest immigration trends and regulations released from USCIS and DHS, and discussions with immigration officers. Any law or regulation update is rapidly adapted as internal guidance for the staff within Chen Immigration Law Associates (North America Immigration Law Group) and incorporated in NIW Credential Test™ and EB1 Credential Test™. Regardless of significant volume of cases, Ms. Chen insists on personally checking each case before filing.
Ms. Chen practices exclusively in U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and American Bar Association. She speaks English and Mandarin.
